Staff and Volunteers
Executive Director:
Kermit Jones, Jr. is an Active Duty Navy Chaplain, interim pastor of a church and the founder of OpenTech Ministries. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has be active in helping people and organizations with technology for over a decade.
As the Executive Director, Kermit is actively seeking fellow visionaries who will help OpenTech Ministries equip churches and other non-profits.
Deputy Director:
Katie May brings a wealth of experience from the medical field. She started out as an EMT-I then moved on to work as a clinical researcher, data manager and project manager for an Oncology CRO. Before entering the work force Katie studied psychology and chemistry earning her bachelors degree from the University of Vermont. Katie is a proud wife of a Marine and mother of three.
As Deputy Director, Katie is actively engages at the Stewardship Coordinator for OpenTech Ministries. She is seeking out funding opportunities to enable us to do our job of helping others.
Volunteers
Rob Friedel is a 10 year veteran of the Computer Industry. He is currently the project manager for a technology company that provides data services and networking capabilities to corporations and the government. He often acts as a consultant for us to help manage various problems and issues that arise.
Kari Jones helps manage all of our correspondence and is the monetary account manager for OpenTech Ministries.
Rich Lee is an Active Duty Navy Chaplain who helps a great deal by proof reading much of our correspondence. He helps to ensure that we maintain clarity in what we say.
